Our music is mostly traditional
bluegrass but also with a mixture of other songs and originals that
fit our style of singin' and pickin'.
Joe Sr. and Archie have been
playing bluegrass music off and on for the past 40 years. Both hail
from the hills and hollers of southwestern Virginia, home to many
legendary bluegrass musicians. Both Archie and Joe now make their
home in Port Clinton, Ohio.
Brothers Joe and Dennis Mitchell
were born and raised in Ohio and have a varied musical background
including stints with rock and roll and country bands. All these
influences help to shape the sound of the Ottawa County Bluegrass
Band. The common thread running thru this band is our love and respect
of bluegrass music. And for the fans who support it. The proof is
in the music.
